The effective governance of any sport relies heavily on its regulatory framework. The core of sporting competition lies in its commitment to integrity, a principle that has faced challenges due to doping and match-fixing scandals. Additionally, allegations of bribery and corruption have tarnished the reputation of individuals and organisations responsible for upholding the central values of sports.

Max has advised in some of the biggest bribery cases in the UK including SFO v Rolls-Royce PLC and Rolls-Royce Energy Systems Inc. He has appeared on multiple matters relating to fraud and has advised in multiple cases interlinking fraud and reputation.

Max is in tune with the intricacies of sporting bodies having represented numerous athletes before tribunals and having drafted the rules for a national sporting body. Max has also historically represented many professionals before their regulators in a variety of settings. He will strategically and fiercely defend all those wrongly accused.
